Само да споделя моите впечатления. Купих си втулките, но установих, че и старите са в добро състояние и няма луфт в тях. Та затова се порових малко и ето какво официално пише за този проблем във VADIS.

Checking the function of the clutch
Test drive the car.
If 1st or reverse gear is stiff, but the other gears operate normally or are less stiff, the clutch is slipping. This is caused by excessive friction between the input shaft and the clutch hub.
Note! Moderate tightening of the clutch plates may mean that greater force is required to engage gears, in particular 1st and reverse gears.
Removing the gearbox
See Service Manual section 4 (41,43,46) Manual gearbox M56 including clutch and drive shafts, S40 / V40 1998– or VIDA; Repairing, Removing, replacing and installing, Group of functions 43 Gearbox: Removing transmission for engine B4204S2 or Removing transmission for other engines.
Check the centre of the clutch driven plate (splines)
Visually check the centre of the clutch driven plate. Check that there is no rust or damage on the splines.
Protecting the concentric slave cylinder (CSC)
Place a sheet of paper on the input shaft for the gearbox.
Note! Paper must be used as protection. The cleaning spray contains mineral oil. Mineral oil can damage the seal in the throwout bearing (cars with a concentric slave cylinder). Cars manufactured from model year 1998 have a concentric slave cylinder.
Cleaning the input shaft
Spray universal oil (P/N 1161398) on the splines.
Brush with a brass wire brush.
Wipe the splines clean.
Repeat the cleaning process one more time.
Wipe the splines clean thoroughly.
Check that there is no damage or dirt left on the input shaft.
Lubricating the input shaft
Spray the input shaft with lubricant (P/N 1161614).
Note! The layer of lubricant must be very thin.
Spray from the side whilst turning the input shaft.
Wipe off any excess grease.
Installing the gearbox
